An essential amino acid.
Plasma
The solution/liquid that makes up blood, in which the blood cells
are suspended. Plasma is mainly water with proteins,
electrolytes, lipids
and glucose dissolved in
it.
Protein
An essential nutrient important for growth, maintenance, and repair
of all body tissues. Protein is also a source of energy under extreme
conditions when there are not sufficient glucose or fatty acids.
Protein is made up of smaller units called amino
acids, which are combined in different ways to produce functionally
different proteins. Good sources of dietary protein are meat, fish,
eggs and pulses.
